Savour local food and coffee, lay out a picnic rug (BYO picnic welcome), and take in the peaceful rolling hills, majestic forests and breathtaking mountain ranges of the hinterland of Moreton Bay.

When their gates swing open, you will experience a range of offerings - from flower picking, meandering through farm plots, listening to engaging farmer talks, to children's activities, there is something for everyone!

Ocean View Estates 

Ocean View Estates is a stunning Moreton Bay hinterland escape set on 100 acres of vineyards and bushland. Established in 1998, Ocean View Estates wines are handcrafted by winemaker Thomas Honnef. A perfect place to ‘long lunch’ like a local in the lakeside restaurant, picnic under the gum trees or stroll the property on their bushland tracks. Consider extending your stay in their cosy vineyard cottages to unwind.

 What's on offer: Join Kate in the vineyards at 10am or 3pm for a short talk. At other times, enjoy a walk through the vineyard. 

Moreton Bay Farm Trail ticket holders who purchase a picnic hamper for $65 will receive 30% off a bottle of wine and any takeaway purchases on the day. Restaurant or picnic hamper bookings recommended.

TSL Farms 2

TSL Family Farms & Stothart Farms

Tastensee Strawberries is the largest farm on the trail, run by two families, TSL Family Farms and Stothart Family Farms. Both families share the same unique 'together' farming. As generational farmers they have 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations currently involved within the businesses. Specialising in premium quality fruit, TSL & Stothart Family Farms are proud to offer their popular TastenSee strawberries, which are stocked in Coles supermarkets.

What's on offer: Visit the farm to witness how commercial strawberries are grown, while taking in the beautiful view of the Glasshouse Mountains in the background.

Purchase juicy fresh strawberries, strawberry jam and punch from the farm gate. Enjoy a sausage sizzle being run by the local men's shed, and coffee from Slim's Deja Brew.

Farmer talks: Learn about the farm at special Farmer Talks at 9am, 12nn and 2pm. At the same time as the talks, kids can take part in a strawberry eating contest!

Fleurpot

 Fleurpot is a micro flower farm in the heart of Dayboro, growing and arranging seasonal flowers and foliage. Established in 2018 by floral designer Aimee, Fleurpot was born out of a desire to introduce more variety into the local flower market. Aimee now cultivates a wide selection of local, seasonal, and sustainable flowers without the use of pesticides or sprays. A visit to Fleurpot showcases the possibilities of a 160sqm plot, set against the picturesque backdrop of their 1.5-acre property.

What's on offer: Walk through their mini-plot to see summer flowers in their green and growing stage, and the blooming ranunculus. Gain an insight into starting your own cut flowers from seed, using only natural methods. Purchase seasonal flower bunches, dahlia tubers, seedlings, seeds and find out about floral arrangement workshops.

City Chicks

Established in 2007, City Chicks is a small pet chicken farm, shop and cafe located in scenic Samford Valley. Visitors can stroll among 25 different types of free-range chickens and poultry, feed them, and then afterwards savour a meal at the on-site cafe. Children can delight in the enclosed play area, where they can interact with and hold adorable chicks. City Chicks’ shop also sells native stingless bees, eco-friendly products and farm giftware. 

What's on offer: Enjoy a short farm walk to see and feed the chickens and poultry. Small children will adore the fully-enclosed kids play area with goats to feed and chicks to cuddle.

Farm talks: Ingrid will give talks on the hour, talking about native stingless bees, backyard chickens and ducks. Watch this space - we'll upload a talk schedule soon!

Food and drinks offering: Food and drinks available in the cafe (9am-2pm). Moreton Bay Farm Trail ticket holders can avail of a "two-for-one" hot or cold drink special, including medium coffees, soft drinks and iced drinks.

Samford Valley Lavender Farm

Visit this family-owned boutique house and garden and walk among the organic French and Italian lavender plants established in 2018. Owners Stuart and Jennifer are building up this venture to offer a handcrafted range of botanical and personal-care lavender products, and will soon offer a bed and breakfast.

Note: flowers may be in bloom depending on seasonality.

What's on offer: Walk among the lavender plants and hear Stuart and Jennifer's plans for developing the farm into the future.

Purchase lavender flowers and dried buds.

Accessibility information: Short walk. Terrain is reasonably flat. Access to the bathroom involves stairs.

The Regenerative Training Centre 

The Regenerative Training Centre offers education programs that cover three areas: People, Food and Farm. Go behind the scenes to see Todd Samorowski’s purpose-build centre that’s a learning hub for professional educators and demonstration property for a variety of regenerative agriculture practices, such as biodynamic, aquaponics, organic gardening, soil health and growing your own food. Todd believes that by empowering people to take control of their food systems, we can help create a more equitable, healthy and sustainable world. 

 What's on offer:  Grazing platters will be available for purchase on the day along with cakes and slices. Grab some local produce and have a picnic in the beautiful conference centre grounds. See display gardens around the Training Centre and chat with farmers, growers and producers at the Farmer's Hub.

Green Thumb Farm

Green Thumb Farm is a profit for purpose educational community farm showcasing locally grown food, composting and worm farming. Their mission is to help people of all ages and abilities to reconnect with seasonal local food, sustainable agriculture, while inspiring them with confidence to grow some of their own food.

What's on offer: Wander through the mandala vegetable garden, herb plot and newly developed flower garden.  

Purchase fresh produce, including gourmet mushrooms, organic sourdough bread + sweet treats, and coffee. 

Pop up Edible Nursery with local fresh seedlings and specialised products for organic gardening including biochar and earth minerals.

Farmer's Hub stalls:

Kids activities: Free kids activity area, where children can learn how to make their own seed packet, pot up a seedling, and create their own nature art.

Food and drinks: Purchase sweat treats, fresh sourdough and coffee.  For a simple yet delicious lunch option, drop in and taste one of their sausage sandwiches on organic sourdough, topped with a selection of locally made sauces and mustards. 

Accessibility information: Accessibility around the mandala area is good and paths are wide enough for wheelchairs but the paths are mulched. The herb and flower area is moderate access with some steps and narrower paths. Easy parking.  Accessible bathrooms.

Basilea Living Herbs & Edible Flowers

Basilea Farm, a cherished part of the Moreton Bay community for 24 years, is dedicated to growing top-quality culinary herbs. In June, Basilea made the bold decision to transition to 100% wholesale to food service, closing their retail outlets and ending the much-loved monthly Basilea Farm Open Day, marking a new chapter Basilea - Version 3.0!

This change aligns with Basilea’s mission to reduce unnecessary waste in the hospitality sector, and they are eager to share this new chapter with the community!

What's on offer: Guests are invited to join Farmer Sarah for guided tours every hour, where she will share the new direction of Basilea Farm and her passion for growing culinary herbs and edible flowers.

Due to the new farm configuration, seedlings will not be available for purchase. However, a special collection of herb plants will be available for purchase this day. 

Farmer's Hub Stalls: 

  •  Chilli Coffee Australia: Offering an exciting range of coffee from mild to extra hot to awaken your senses!
  • Joyous Jams: Handcrafted jams just like grandma used to make—full of flavor and nostalgia.

Blue Dog Farm

Blue Dog Farm is a small family farm growing some of their own food, swapping for things they don’t grow, sharing plenty with the wildlife, and learning along the way. Farmer Jacki Hinchey and her family cultivate Really Fancy Salad from the crops grown in the market garden, and have cattle for beef production and land management producing Really Fancy Beef. The farm also tends poultry, fruit trees and microgreens, while fostering an evolving ecosystem that promotes wildlife habitat free from fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides. 

What's on offer: Walk among the market garden, say hello to the chickens and look at the cattle. 
Purchase Really Fancy Salad and Really Fancy Beef to take home.

Food and Drinks: Enjoy Blue Dog Farm beef burgers. The beef and salad used in the burgers are produce direct from the farm! You can enjoy your lunch under the trees, while watching the cattle grazing.

Leesa's Little Farm

Leesa's Little Farm is a thriving urban permaculture farm. Originally intended for a co-housing project, Leesa Cornford has transformed this eight-acre cattle property into a productive permaculture garden and dragon fruit orchard. Sustainability is at the forefront of everything they do at Leesa’s Little Farm, driven by a passion for slow-family-living and showcasing food security in urban settings.

What's on offer: Take a stroll through Leesa’s Little Farm and be inspired about permaculture practices and plants that you can take home to your own garden. If you come in the morning, while wandering Leesa's permaculture haven, you can listen to live music from 9am, with a fresh coffee in hand.

Pick up some permaculture plants, wild fermented drink, plus you can sign up to their permaculture workshop and course.

Kids activities:  Make your own bee hotel: For a small cost, children can decorate a can ‘hotel’ and then fill it with lots of comfy bug materials so you can hang it in your own garden. The more good bugs in your garden the better your garden will be. 

This activity will run at 11.30am and 12.30pm, pre-book your child's spot now! 

Food and drinks: Coffee will be available from 9am-11am from Bean Seen Kitchen (a social enterprise supporting disadvantaged members of the community).

Green Haven Stall

Between farm visits, drop into ‘the little stall that’s got it all’. One of Moreton Bay’s longest running roadside stalls, the iconic Green Haven Stall has been servicing the community with locally-grown and sourced fresh fruit, vegetables and local products for nearly 40 years. A hands-on, family-owned and operated business, Green Haven Stall strives to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that fosters connection, embracing the diverse tapestry of the local Moreton Bay and South East Queensland farmers and producers.

What's on offer: Drop by to pick up fruit, vegetables and local products all sourced locally to Moreton Bay and South East Queensland.

Accessibility information:  Green Haven Stall is situated directly off the highway with accessible customer car parking. The stall is wheelchair accessible with no steps.

Just two years ago, Sarah and Daniel Elliot embarked on an experiment: cultivating flowers on a modest 5m x 5m plot. The results? Positively blooming! Their delightful endeavour now offers flower subscriptions to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, ensuring that residents can enjoy the beauty of locally grown and freshly cut flowers. And this is just the beginning!

What's on offer: 

  • Take a stroll through the 20m x 20m plot, while enjoying the sounds of live music.
  • Delight in picking your own flowers to purchase, straight from the field! 
  • Purchase flower seeds, seedlings and bulbs.  
  • Pack a BYO picnic - this is a great picnic spot!

Kid's activity: Children will enjoy decorating their own mini-flower pot with pressed flowers dried from the flower farm! They will then fill with potting mix and flower seeds to take home and watch bloom. The activity is $20 per child, pre-book here.
